When In Versailles Palace

Hello my loves,

What a year right?! I have so many mixed feelings for 2016 and you know, it’s just so hard to explain. Let’s just start with a thank to you guys for the great end on the year. I really do appreciate all the love and support, I wouldn’t have ran a blog, studied and worked so hard without all the inspiration and support from you guys so thank you and I believe that 2017 is going to be an amazing year for us all!.
Since it’s Thursday, well the last Thursday in 2016, I decided to throw it back a little to my favorite trip of the year. Paris! I kept this post for last. As you all know by now, it have been my childhood dream to visit the beautiful city of Paris and when that came true, I couldn’t stop thinking of how much I love the city and want to go back next year. This time for fashion week. Hopefully right?, dreams do come through. Just dream it, believe it, work towards it and watch it happen!.

During my visit in Paris, I really enjoyed visiting the palaces and the one that stood out for me was the  Palace of VersaillesChâteau de Versailles. The Palace of Versailles, is one of the largest and most opulent castles in the world, speaking of fancy and beautiful, this palace is definitely that. I was obsessed with just about everything in the palace, from the art works, to the beautiful black and white floors and ceiling. I felt like a princess here. Did  you know that the Palace boasts around 2,143 windows, 1,252 fireplaces, and 67 staircases? How amazing is that!

This palace is so big and we didn’t get to see it all but was able to see the Hall of Mirrors which contains 357 mirrors in total, reflecting the grand gardens through the arched windows, Stunning Chapel of Versailles, the Grand Apartment and the Grand Trianon.

When visiting the palace of Versailles, I strongly advise taking a walk around the impressive gardens (you might be pushed to cover all 250 acres though) and meander through the landscaped geometric paths and manicured lawns. As Europe’s largest palace garden it’s nothing short of breath-taking and spans down into basins with regal fountains for the complete picturesque setting. Make sure you stop off at the Apollo and Latona fountains to admire the marble statues. You will not be disappointed and oh don’t forget to take some great images of the palace. By the time we reached the Grand gardens, I was like, that’s it for taking pictures and I didn’t take a lot of photos of the gardens instead we sat at the gardens and enjoyed the view and people watching hahaha. It was a perfect day.

Overall, I had a great time and so will you.
Happy New year 🎆
Thanks For Reading.

Your pictures are amazing but how did you even take those?? I’ve been to the palace of Versailles and it was so crowded. You managed to have no people in your background and the photos just look magical! Can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store for you!

Can you believe I had a chance to visit Versailles as a kid and I didn’t take it? I chose some other excursion that I can’t even remember. I was only 9, so I’m not going to be too hard on myself haha. But whenever I see pictures of Versailles, I tell myself I have to go one day. Love all the shots of you in the beautiful shift dress. The Hall of Mirrors looks like a dream. I wonder how you were able to get so many shots without people in them though. That’s always such a challenge for me!

This is such an amazing shoot! Versailles is absolutely spectacular and the Hall of Mirrors is just breathtaking! I was watching the TV series of the same name, which has made me even more fascinated with the palace. Louis XIV’s vision was so ahead of his time.

Wishing you a very happy new year!!

Oh dear, that brings back so many memories from when I first visited Versailles! What I’m mostly astounded though is how you’ve been able to avoid all the tourists in your pics or then they we’re really professionally photoshopped away, haha, as every time I’ve been there it’s been jammed!!
And if you’re heading for PFW let me know and we’ll meet up 🙂

Paris has been my dream ever since I was a little girl. There’s something so magical about it all! This palace looks straight out of a fairytale – especially the hall of mirrors – WOW! I hope to someday visit here and see all of these beautiful sights with my own eyes. I’m so glad you had the opportunity to see it for yourself!
