How do I stay fit? This is a question I get all the time. I believe staying healthy and fit is a lifestyle choice. So I workout six times a week and rest on Monday or Friday depending on how I feel. Some weeks, I workout everyday and eat very healthy. I mixed up my workout as I get bored doing one type of workout routine for a while except yoga. My workout routine also depends on my school schedules. Since every semester is a different schedule, the same goes for my workout routine.
Here is a break down of “How To Stay Fit.”
You have to put cardio in your workout routines. It will help you burn some fat fast and raise your heart rate which increases the calories you will burn. Running, swimming, boxing, jump ropes and hiking are some of my everyday cardio and It really does work. It also prepare you for some muscle building exercises.
2. Muscles building exercises:
Now this is the workout that will give you that super toned body. Most people love to use weight training and that works too but I use little of no weigh. I focus on full body muscle building not just parts of my body. That way, you train your body to get used to working every parts of it. So there’s no legs day today and abs day tomorrow for me and it works just fine. Everyone is built differently so I can’t say it might work for you as well but why not give it a try right? .
So to build muscles and strength, Yoga and boxing is my go to and my favorites.
Boxing or kick boxing works every parts of your body, no doubts about that. Your legs, arms, butts and abs( all the major target points) are in action. It’s really is a great way to stay in shape, no wonder why supper models looks so fit.
Yoga is such a beautiful and graceful way to stay in shape. I love my yoga practice and you guys already know that. Seriously, I don’t know what I would do without my yoga practice. Yoga have different levels so please make sure if it’s your first time, you are taking a level one and don’t be discouraged if the class is too slow. It’s working plus we all have to start from somewhere and things gets really fun down the road. Yoga works every parts of your body leaving you will a sense of peace and happiness. You use your own body strength to build muscles, now how cool is that?! No weights needed! You will discover all the things your body can do that you weren’t even aware of and you will be surprised because it’s actually an amazing experience. Yoga is not just an exercise, it’s mind, body and soul.
So with that being said, you don’t have to spend too much time figuring out what workouts to pay for. Just do some cardio at home, buy a jump rope like I did), go for a swim if you have access or a run in the neighborhood/gym. Take some boxing classes or buy a home boxing bag, practice yoga and eat lots of green food. This will change your life like it did for me.
