Less Is Beautiful

Happy Sunday guys and hope you all are having a great weekend. I thought I'd write a quick Sunday skincare post because I have been getting so many questions on what I put on my skin that gives me so much glow. It's save to say that I don't like wearing too much makeup and I just love being makeup free if I can all day. So here's how to protect your skin from the sun and wear less makeup. Video coming soon. If you have been following me on Instagram, you probably have seen my Instagram stories about my Purlisse skincare. I got introduced to Purlisse less than a year ago and I have been using it ever since. From my favorite Blue Lotus treatment...

How To Achieve A Healthy Skin

What type of skin do you have? Dry, oily or maybe you're not sure but you just keep breaking out?. Well, let's just say, we all have been there. Almost everybody that I know or meet compliments me on how great my skin is. While I might be genetically luck sometimes, my skin is not always great. I have my moments as well, I have oily skin and very sensitive skin so I have to be very careful. I got to say, the beauty market is very saturated yet is still a real challenge to find what works for my skin. When Urban Skin Rx contacted me for a collaboration, I decided to give it a try after doing my research....

Say Hello To New Healthy Hair

Like they say "The most important thing a woman can have(next to talent, of course) is her beautiful, healthy hair." I couldn't agree more. Our hair is our identity. Over the years, I have struggled with my hair to the point where I woke up one morning and went to the salon and had to cut it all off. Of course, I cried after the cut, I couldn't do it anymore with all the relaxing and breakage. This hair of mine has been through way too much - from the cut, to the colors to the extensions and more. I give up on my hair and turn it over to one of my best friends (she's a hairstylist) to help taking care of it.   As a black woman, it's hard to find products...

Chasing The Sun With Becca Cosmetics

Since I became a blogger a year and half ago, I always wanted to work with great brands and be apart of great awareness. I wanted to help people and honestly review products and show people how to use them and tell honestly if that product is great or not. All my blogging life I have dreamt of brands like BECCA cosmetics but I didn't even know much about the brand till I got contacted by BECCA to join the team on the #beccascape trip in beautiful Palm Springs. You guys, this was my first big brand invite on a travel trip and It was a dream come true. I was so excited you have no idea. I was told that the...

The Golden Globes

As a teenager I remember waiting days just to watch a movie award show, which made me wonder how, would it be to experience it, but you don’t assume that might ever happen. Last year was my lucky year and I got the chance to attend the 72nd Golden Globes. Here is how it all went down. What really happens at the Golden Globes? When you drive towards the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills your car first get checked for bombs and weapons. Security people check your trunk and peek inside your car. Right after you see a first wave of fans and then you drive onto the red carpet and hand your car in. That’s when the crazyness begins. Cameras...

Wow! Thank you so much Good Morning America for having me speak about diversity, and for helping spread this message. It was an honor speaking on the show today. The Black Mirror project have been just a great experience and we're just so happy that you guys are on this road to fright for diversity with us. We had no idea that this would viral around the world! This takes me back to when Raffael and I first spoke about the  Black Mirror Project , when we spoke about shooting these images It sounded like an impossible feat to pull off. I asked him: "You want me to go against all the big brands and top models in the world? That's...

The New hair

Are you surprised? I know, I am too. It all just started last Friday. I'm working on a secret project ( that I can't wait to share with you guys) and we needed a new look. So we decided to go with the Afro. The funny story is, the hair was only supposed to last for the night but after we cut the hair into this great style, I felt in love. Everyone thought  it's a keeper so did you guys when I posted the hair style on IG. Thank you so much for the love. I decided to have a little fun with this hair style and I hope you still like it. It have been a long time  maybe 2...

Enjoy Flowers

Over the past few months, I realize how much I miss going out and getting some beautiful flowers to decorate my little apartment. I love flowers, their smells and beautiful bright colors brings me so much peace. My favorite flowers also remind me of special moments in my life and for this reason, I love coming home to fresh flowers. With school, work and blogging we all know how busy that can get, which brings us to this post. For this blog post, I'm partnering with Enjoy Flowers to show how you can enjoy flowers everyday in your space. Enjoy Flowers is a flower delivery subscription service that delivers long-lasting fresh flowers once or twice a month. My favorite flowers were...

Be you in that little Black Bikini

Body acceptance means, as much as possible, approving of and loving your body, despite its “imperfections”, real or perceived. That means accepting that your body is fatter than some others, or thinner than some others, that your eyes are a little crooked, that you have a disability that makes walking difficult, that you have health concerns that you have to deal with but that, all of that doesn’t mean that you need to be ashamed of your body or try to change it. Body acceptance allows for the fact that there is a diversity of bodies in the world, and that there’s no wrong way to have one. Even the models we see in magazines wish they could look like...
