Interview on Good Morning America

Wow! Thank you so much Good Morning America for having me speak about diversity, and for helping spread this message. It was an honor speaking on the show today. Black Mirror

It is time for more diversity and models of all races being seen.       We are bombarded everyday with flashy advertisement, billboards and television ads that try to inspire us to buy the products that are hitting the market. Something that always bothered me when you see these amazing images that very rarely you ever see a black woman on them. When growing up as a girl I always wondered, why the big brands such as Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Guess and many others rarely seem to use a black model? And if they do, a very small group of black models does make the cut here and there, but that group seems to remain pretty much identical over a long period...

Black Female Iron Man

Just a few weeks ago Marvel announced the very first major black female superhero: Riri Williams taking over for Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) in Iron Man. This got me so excited as I always felt black women were not really represented at all in their movies and among superheroes in general.     When the first picture on the cover of "Invincible Iron Man" was shown in a funny way I saw myself in it. This sparked the idea to shoot my own version. I teamed up with photographer Raffael Dickreuter to shoot and create these images.
