Confident In Style

Blogging 103   Today's blog post is all about building that confidence to succeed in the modeling, blogging world and everyday life. I decided to write about confidence because so many of you guys have asked me how I got the confidence to put myself out there with my Black Mirror project and  blogging. So I'm here to share how I did it. Honestly, my confidence comes from me sitting down and having a talk with myself. It sounds weird but sometimes in life you just have to do it. I wasn't always the most confident girl in life, in fact, the people that I grew up with back home in Africa are so surprised now, that I actually have a voice...

Summer Sunshine

Finally I can say I'm on vacation, well actually a family vacation for almost two weeks. I have been looking forward to just spending some time this summer with my family especially my dad and brother whom I haven't seen twice in 10 years. Not that they care much about being away for 10 years but I do and it's hard to see them while living Los Angeles. I miss my family so much and I'm glad to be home, I glad to be surrounded by people that are like me and speak my language. It is so peaceful this way. Living away in LA without my family can be very hard at times especially with beings busy a lot. On the...

Creating Authentic Content

Hello my loves, Today's blog post is all about being you, being different and creating authentic content. This is like a part 2 of my previous blog post ( How to blog for living 101). Again, I'm still new to blogging but I have learned so much and one of the things I have learned that has become easier for me now is to not be like others but myself. I believe we're so different and unique in our own way and we just have to believe it.   How to stand out from the crowd: I know, you must have heard that sentence so many times; "To be successful, you have to be different" but it's actually true. So here is how it...

How To Blog For Living 101

BLOGGING 101 Hello my love, happy Tuesday! Finally, the post that most of you have requested. "How to blog for living and how I started my blog". So let's get right to it. I started my blog a little over a year and a half ago and here is all the information I have learned and challenges I faced. First most important question; Is blogging for everyone? I will say no! It's really not for everyone because we're all different and have to do things that makes us happy. If you start a blog and you don't make the time to work on the blog or you just hate the ups and downs, it's not for you. Before anyone decides to start a blog,...

I Got My Eyes Back

Happy Tuesday my loves, I'm so happy to be back on my blog and writing to you all with two eyes. The last two weeks have been very tough for my family and I. I don't know how to explain it all but I'm going to give it a try.  As you know, I have been suffering from an eye infection for over three months and was off and on with my primary ophthalmologist. After a couple weeks of treatment with my doctor, we both thought it was an allergic reaction to my contact lens solution. So I was on some treatment and my eyes got better for a few days but the pain came right back and this time it was the worst....

How To Stay Fit

How do I stay fit? This is a question I get all the time. I believe staying healthy and fit is a lifestyle choice. So I workout six times a week and rest on Monday or Friday depending on how I feel. Some weeks, I workout everyday and eat very healthy. I mixed up my workout as I get bored doing one type of workout routine for a while except yoga. My workout routine also depends on my school schedules. Since every semester is a different schedule, the same goes for my workout routine.       Here is a break down of "How To Stay Fit." 1. Cardio: You have to put cardio in your workout routines. It will help you burn some fat fast and raise your heart...

Black Is Beautiful

Black is beautiful! Yes!  and we don't even have to say this that much because we're seeing all the many changes that's going on. If you don't know what I'm talking about it is ok, let me  break it down for you. This morning one of my amazing followers on Instagram sent me a message pointing out the new Calvin Klein campaign with the winners for the Oscar best picture (Moonlight). He was so excited to see the diversity in the campaign and so was I. I got to say, I was in tears that night watching all my people on the red carpet and on stage. That speech from  Viola Davis was so touching, she's always been my role model and...

5 Things You Don’t Know About Deddeh

Todays blog post is going to be all about me.. I have gotten so many questions about what I do, where I'm from, how I get through my days,  etc. so I decided to tell you all a little about me and what inspires me everyday. 5 things you don't know about me.  1. I didn't not grow up in Liberia:  I was born in Liberia, West Africa but I didn't grow up there. In fact, I only remember being in my country once, for Christmas when I was 7 or 8 years old, I think. I wish I had spent more time back home but I was too busy with catholic school which I asked my dad to attend when I was a...
